Ticket to Ride: Europe was first released in 2005 in the long-running train game franchise and is one of the series’ most popular entries, thanks to its addition of tunnels and stations to the first game’s classic but unadorned route-building.
It all started with Ticket to Ride (map based in the US). In Ticket to Ride, you are a train tycoon with your sites set on building a great rail system across the United States. Players sit around a board of the US, with many empty possible routes connecting cities across the country. Each game everyone has a secret route they need to complete and only you know what you need to do. Each turn you can either take different colored train cards or build routes using them. Complete more goals and build more impressive routes for victory. "The rules are simple enough to write on a train ticket – each turn you either draw more cards, claim a route, or get additional Destination Tickets," says Ticket to Ride author, Alan R. Moon. "The tension comes from being forced to balance greed – adding more cards to your hand, and fear – losing a critical route to a competitor."
The 15th Anniversary Edition of the 2nd map to come out for the franchise includes 1 Giant Board map of European train routes with all new illustrations, 5 Tin Boxes, each with 45 finely sculpted wagon cars, 15 Colored Train Stations, 5 Scoring Markers, 1 Rules booklet, 110 Train Car Cards, all 108 Destination Ticket Cards published to date, 1 European Express Bonus Card and 1 Big Cities Reference Card.

This game is beautiful. It is something that you can set up in your coffee table (albeit a large coffee table), and you guests would think that it is a work of art. Everything is bigger in this game, from the game board, the gorgeous trains, the train stations and even the box. This is really a collectors edition of the game.
